How long have you been interested in bonsai?

I got interested in bonsai by going to the California Bonsai Society show at the Huntington Library several years ago and I got bit by the bonsai bug ever since. I actually joined Baikoen Bonsai Club before knowing anything about bonsai. After couple club meetings I thought to myself I better get some practice under my belt. Asking around the club members I found out that Lindsay Shiba was teaching a beginner's course at his nursery. I have been studying the art of bonsai since 2010 with Lindsay.
Do you have a specialty, resource or method that you would like to share?

As a method to make yourself a better bonsai artist. I suggested you take classes or lessons from different instructors to help you develop your trees. Each instructor will have a different lens and point of view on maintaining and developing your trees. These differences in style and approaches will help you professionally grow in the art.
