Baikoen Bonsai Kenkyukai 60th Annual Winter Silhouettes Show
January 13-14th, 2024

Baikoen Bonsai Kenkyukai will be conducting our 60th Annual Winter Silhouettes Show the week after Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend at the Los Angeles Arboretum. Our exhibit will have trees in their leafless form, showing off their trunk and branch structures .Our show will offer the following: Exhibit, sales area, Saturday night reception featuring entertainment, giant raffle and auction.

Michael specializes in pot appraisal so it will be a treat for many if you have that special pot you have no idea who it is from and how much is it worth? Ted is the current Japanese Curator of the GSBF South Collection at the Huntington Library. Ted is based out of Pasadena and brings a huge reservoir of information.

Mike Lane comes to us from Fort Myers, Florida. He has is a rising star in the bonsai community. In a rather short time frame he is already an international bonsai star and has traveled as a guest artist to India! If you are in the area, this is a meeting not to miss if you have tropical species in your collection.

Another special guest this month from the CBS Bonsai Visiting Artist Program will be Caroline Scott. She is an UK bonsai artist and has a huge depth of knowledge. Another not to be miss event of the year. I'll hope to see you all there. As a reminder this month's meeting will not be at the Arboretum but at the Live Oak Park Community Center at 10144 Bogue Street, Temple City.
